Job Title: Informatica Consultant
Location: Remote (LATAM only)
Rate: $30/hr
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Informatica Consultant to provide production support, ETL monitoring, and optimization for enterprise data integration environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, job scheduling tools, SQL, and incident management in a production setting.

Key Responsibilities

< data-start="546" data-end="595">Production Support & Incident Management</>

  • Monitor ETL jobs (workflows, sessions) using tools such as Workflow Monitor, Control-M, or Autosys

  • Diagnose and resolve job failures, data load issues, and system errors during scheduled and real-time runs

  • Handle escalations from managers or clients and provide timely resolutions

  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues

  • Tune Informatica mappings and workflows for improved performance and efficiency

  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data quality and completeness

  • Implement minor enhancements and bug fixes in existing ETL code

  • Manage ETL service load balancing

< data-start="1268" data-end="1306">Collaboration & Documentation</>

  • Collaborate with business analysts, DBAs, and QA teams to analyze issues and coordinate fixes

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and process flow diagrams

  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards

  • Schedule and manage batch jobs

  • Execute production deployments and migrations

  • Prepare and share daily and weekly status reports with management and clients

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter in production environments

  • Solid SQL skills with relational databases

  • Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools

  • Understanding of Linux/Unix environments

  • Experience working with ticketing and incident management tools

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
