Job Description Summary
Engine Test Enabling Hardware (ETEH) is a group of Mechanical/Aerospace Engineers/Specialists whose mission is to provide engineering services for design and build-up of mechanical test systems in support of the engineering initiatives. ETEH integrates the test article to the test cell while striving to exceed customer expectations. This group provides mechanical engineering support to all of GE Aviation's domestic, international, development engine, production engine, and engine services. The role will focus on working on projects that require mechanical specialist acumen within the ETEH group

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
Test Enabling Hardware (TEH) Installation Planning

Technical Support for TEH Installation & Test Setup
Hardware Tracking
End User Interface
NPI Hardware Focal
Field Support for TEH Engineering in Evendale
Hardware Procurement/Shipping/Storage Logistics
Knowledge of Teamcenter & DE Visualization
Manufacturing/Fabrication End User Interface
Support development, production and MRO engine testing from a mechanical engineering perspective
Write design, construction, and procurement specifications, obtain budgetary quotes, and then implement the project once approved
Work with engineers, outside contractors, and internal GE labor to complete the mission

Required Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • 1-3 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Desired Characteristics
  • Project management experience, managing schedules and budgets.
  • Mechanical component design background.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute projects.
  • Active US government Secret Security Clearance, preferred with AP approval
