Position: Technical Analyst

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Location: Remote - must sit in EST/CST

Job Summary

The Technical Analyst serves as a key liaison between business units and enterprise systems developed in Java/J2EE technologies. This role involves analyzing system, data, and application issues, and delivering technical solutions to support end users and customers effectively.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for software, hardware, and operating systems, including researching, testing, and communicating solutions
  • Escalate issues appropriately to other Technology Services teams when necessary
  • Analyze system impacts and propose process or application changes, including updates to file layouts and web services
  • Extract and analyze data using basic to complex SQL queries to support issue resolution, solution development, and testing
  • Debug Java applications to identify root causes and recommend solutions, collaborating with development teams for implementation
  • Create and document test cases to support development and ensure quality assurance

Required Technical Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data extraction and performance enhancement
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts
  • Basic understanding of web services (REST or SOAP)
  • Ability to assess software changes and determine system impacts
  • Experience with incident management and support ticketing systems
  • Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
