Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Java / Scala Developer in Seattle, Washington
Work on requirements, design, implementation, code reviews, and operational support for software services
in an agile software development paradigm. Build robust software services using design principles which are highly distributed, scalable, secure and maintainable. Ensure seamless integration with customers in a fast and secure manner while increasing the customer security and decreasing the friction during the integration process. Work with and develop new Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to ensure development teams can easily facilitate customer interactions that are secure, dynamic, and seamless for internal clients, outside vendors and business consumers.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $141,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Software Developer Engineer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires Three (3) years of experience with: Designing highly scalable, robust and distributed systems and services under the Agile software development paradigm; Using Object-Oriented Programming and design-patterns for software development; Java 1.8; JavaScript; Python; Spring Framework; AWS Lambda and Step Function; Amazon S3; RESTFul APIs; SOAP APIs; Unix based systems; J2EE; API Gateways; Postman; Jenkins; Bitbucket; JUnit 5; Kibana; Grafana; log4j and logback.
