OPTiMO seeks an experienced Test Engineer to our team in support of a client who requires:

  • Experience testing web and multimedia solutions
  • Test Plan and Test Case Development
  • Integrated QA and QC services
  • Independent Validation and Verification Services
  • Load and Performance testing services
  • Accessibility Testing
  • Create and maintain a Quality Control Plan (QCP)

In this role, the Test Engineer is responsible for working with developers, designers, project manager, and government clients to ensure the functionality, reliability, accessibility, and security of multiple web applications and its supporting infrastructure. The Test Engineer is responsible for:

  • Develop quality control procedures that address remediation for deficiencies to ensure that
  • all deliverables are:
    • Fully compliant with all specified requirements
    • Meeting acceptable SDLC and quality standards (performance, reliability, availability, etc.)
    • Exceeding the Section 508 standards, WAI-ARIA 1.1 compliance and all client testing policies and/or directives
    • Delivered by required due dates
  • Developing thorough test plans for systems to ensure a smooth transition from the development environment to the production environment, including test case creation and execution in order to validate end-to-end system functionality.
  • Provide integrated QA and QC services, load and performance testing, independent validation and verification services, and aAccessibility testing.
  • The Test Engineer should have experience in consistently meeting deadlines in an interactive environment that includes daily communication with developers and business users.
  • Web and Multi-media solution platforms and tools:
    • HTML/JavaScript or SharePoint
    • Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In Design, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
    • HTML/CSS using government provided Adobe Dreamweaver
Requirements:
  • Working full-time, on-site at a secure facility in the Washington DC Metro area.
  • Currently hold an active TS SCI security clearance.
  • Four (4) or more years related industry experience.
  • Experience working for the federal government
  • At least one (1) year of experience handling US classified documents.
  • Experience managing Web design and development projects.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and experience implementing compliant interfaces.[WH1.1]
  • Detailed oriented and strong organizational and communication skills in both oral and written form, and the ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
  • Excellent written and oral verbal English skills, proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Pproject, and both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • 4 years' experience:
    • Work with small teams in dynamic environments, with high client interaction
    • Strong analytical and technical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues
    • Develop and execute software test plans
    • Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical teams
    • Create and execute test cases and test scripts from requirements
    • Document and communicate test results
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Conduct demonstrations and trainings to support the system users
    • Ability to participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle
    • Demonstrated knowledge of test methodologies (regression, functional, integration, performance, accessibility, etc.)
    • Complete understanding of SDLC framework and Agile methodology
    • Interact with business users, business analysts and systems analysts to understand requirements and enhancement requests
    • Experience conducting functional, regression, accessibility (Section 508 / WCAG 2.2 AA / WAI-ARIA), performance, and integration testing
    • Accessibility testing certification (508 Trusted Tester, W3C, IAAP, WAS)
    • Experience with automated, accessibility, performance, and API testing tools
    • Experience supporting user acceptance testing
  • Desired Skills:
