Role: Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite)

Contract: 6+ Months

Job Description:

As a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer specializing in Azure, you'll serve as the go-to expert for our cloud infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with Professional Services and Product teams to enhance our build pipeline and internal tools. Your role will be pivotal in delivering scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions to our clients, while also driving operational excellence across our Azure environments.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Azure SME within the Hosted Operations Team, providing deep technical expertise and guidance.
  • Manage IaaS VM lifecycles including troubleshooting, backup/restore, imaging, and scaling.
  • Implement and maintain Azure Monitor components: diagnostic settings, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and KQL queries.
  • Support and optimize CI/CD workflows using tools like Harness and Octopus Deploy.
  • Build and manage containerized applications in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS); act as escalation point for complex Azure issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve deployment pain points and improve cloud architecture.
  • Lead incident resolution efforts, ensuring timely recovery and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct training sessions to onboard teams on new workflows and best practices.
  • Continuously improve client environment configurations and internal cloud operations.


Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven expertise in Azure data migration tools and methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent practical experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Resource Manager, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security.
  • Experience with scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
  • Hands-on experience with AKS, ACI, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Exposure to observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
  • Background in Windows server administration.
