Position Title: Business Analyst Advanced
Location: Hybrid 3 days remote, 2 days onsite in South Carolina (Candidates must be current SC residents)
Contract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
Interview Process: One round Virtual
Position Summary:
The State of South Carolina is seeking a skilled Business Analyst Advanced to support a critical application migration project. The selected candidate will work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements and business processes, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy to modern environments. This is a staff augmentation role for a major, ongoing IT initiative.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business rules, functional requirements, and processes.

Support the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including testing, validation, and implementation.

Utilize SQL for data analysis and validation.

Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure project alignment and progress.

Maintain clear documentation to support migration, testing, and training efforts.
Mandatory Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst on government IT projects.

At least 5 years of experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and processes.

1+ years of hands-on experience with the SDLC.

1+ years of experience working with SQL databases.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications from IIBA, such as CBAP or CCBA.

Certification such as PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).

Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Use of a sub-vendor is allowed only one level deep and must be documented using the Sub Vendor Usage Form.

Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen s client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.***
