Title: Team Lead - Training Manager (Public Sector)
Location: Carson City, NV (on-site 2 days per week)
Duration: 8+ month contract
Rate: $45-53/hr. W2
Work Requirements: , Holder, or authorized to work in the U.S.

The Training Manager will develop training programs, provide coaching and guidance to the training team, and build an engaging learning culture. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to operate effectively at a high level with leadership and stakeholders while also being able to deliver training materials, conduct classes, and provide instruction for the state s new Voter Registration and Election Management System. They will also review results and trainee feedback to improve our training program, as well as identify additional training opportunities.
Responsibilities:

  • Assess comprehensive training needs to plan, prepare, and roll out a statewide training program for the state s new Voter Registration and Election Management System.
  • Organize and promote training schedules with the various counties.
  • Develop and deliver programs of learning activities.
  • Prepare for delivering course materials.
  • Instruct users on an individual or group basis.
  • Learn the system usage patterns based on user stories and course materials to serve as a key resource for system users.
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of how to deliver excellent training services in a busy and complex environment.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have the ability to effectively liaise with solution vendor, stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Willingness to develop a deep understanding of voter registration and election management solutions.
  • Ability to conduct engaging remote learning sessions via Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to travel to remote locations for in-person training sessions.
  • Ability to follow instructions, to prioritize tasks and manage a schedule to deliver training services that meet project milestone objectives.
  • Provide our users with optimal learning experience.
  • Ability to understand and support end-user training needs at varying levels of seniority and technical ability.
  • Provide excellent customer service, consult and communicate clearly and effectively (orally and in writing), and develop positive relationships that generate a collaborative working environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, meet tight timelines to meet agency requirements.
  • Understanding of and ability to apply the most appropriate modern training standards and practices.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiar with Learning Management Systems and Zendesk
  • Proficiency in Simulation Software Development
  • Content Developer and instructional designer
  • SharePoint administration
  • Positive and Patient
  • Ability to work with people who might not have high technology skills
Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Four (4) years of experience developing and delivering systems or software training programs.
  • Certified Technical Trainer or equivalent
