Role Description
A leading global organization is seeking a Senior Workday Administrator to join its business systems team, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Workday platform across both HCM and Finance functions. This role is critical in supporting post-go-live operations, security and integration administration, and optimization of business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and technical Workday expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure Workday delivers maximum value.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Workday, including configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and security setup.
  • Lead ongoing system maintenance, upgrades, and release management, ensuring updates are tested and deployed with minimal disruption.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to understand business needs, recommend effective Workday solutions, and improve platform adoption.
  • Manage and resolve system issues through internal ticketing and Workday's case management, performing root cause analysis and coordinating resolutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and business processes.
  • Stay current with Workday releases and leverage applicable updates for HCM and Financials.
  • Oversee configuration and maintenance of Workday tenants, managing security roles and foundational setup to ensure stability and compliance.
  • Maintain system health and data integrity through regular audits, validations, and system checks.
  • Support HR and Finance with training, communication, and change management for new functionality or system enhancements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for Workday configurations and integrations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support integrations (e.g., payroll, benefits, travel, expenses, etc.).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday administration experience, including configuration and support.
  • Experience with multiple Workday modules (HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, or Financials preferred).
  • Solid understanding of the Workday security framework and experience managing user access and permissions.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain complex Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, and Composite).
  • Experience with Workday release management, including testing and deploying updates.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business users.
  • Workday Pro or other Workday certifications are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Additional Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
  • Experience working in a multi-country or global Workday environment.
  • Understanding of Workday business processes and the ability to configure and troubleshoot them.
