Job Title : Advanced Mechanical Analysis Engineer
Location: McLeansville, NC
Wage Range: 50-55

Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for an Advanced Mechanical Analysis Engineer to work from their McLeansville, NC facility. As a mechanical analysis engineer for Undersea Mission Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required

- Experience with ANSYS and MATLAB analysis tools, and ability to train others on these tools
- Experience with Shock Grade B by analysis
- Strong knowledge of material specifications and metallurgy, especially as they relate to submarine requirements
- Knowledge of weld types (MIL-STD-22) and processes (TP-1688 and 278)

- Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools, especially Creo, to create mechanical models and drawings
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
