10 The Role: Senior Consultant, North America

The Team: At S&P Global Mobility, you will support the Automotive Consulting Services practice as a project lead, contributor, and collaborator, engaging with various S&P Global groups, including Mobility and other divisions. Expect frequent interactions with Forecasting, Product and Data Solutions, and Sales. The Impact: You will work with current and potential clients to address complex research challenges alongside colleagues in Consulting Services and Sales. Your role will involve investigating diverse project methodologies, scoping, costing, and management, while guiding both primary and secondary research on various engagements. As a consultant, you will engage directly with clients and internal/external resources and actively participate in the industry by attending automotive events. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Planning Solutions Consulting Director, focusing on OEM, Supplier, Government, Non-Government Organizations, and Trade Organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Interact with current and potential clients to develop project scopes and proposals, managing projects through to completion and final delivery.
  • Stay informed about automotive trends and topics, assisting clients in understanding analytical solutions related to current and future industry dynamics.
  • Collaborate with other S&P Global colleagues to leverage content and capabilities, market Consulting Services solutions, and promote them both internally and externally.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within S&P Global Mobility, providing insights on how the organization can best address complex client research needs by seeking innovative methods and inputs.
  • Work collectively with S&P Global Mobility Sales to identify and pursue potential engagements.
  • Understand and advocate for customer needs and requirements, interpreting internal and external business issues and recommending best practices.
  • Engage within a global Consulting Services team, with the opportunity to lead or contribute to multi-regional engagements.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and interest in the auto industry, its structure, and trends.
  • One or more years of experience in data analysis (forecasting, research, data analytics, projects).
  • Strong personal organization skills with a proven track record of managing multiple projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Confidence and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, along with advanced Excel capabilities. Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A network of industry contacts and active participation in industry groups.
  • Ability to manage projects/engagements from start to finish.
  • Some experience with public speaking and/or media exposure.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,671-$125,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
