DB2 consultant
Duration – 6-12 months with additional extensions
Location: US remote
- Set up, configure, maintain production/dev/test DB2 environments, create/manage schemas, tables, indexes, and objects.
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize complex SQL queries, manage statistics, and perform REORG/RUNSTATS
- Implement, monitor, and test backup/recovery strategies, including disaster recovery planning and log management.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security policies, ensuring compliance.
- Troubleshoot database incidents, provide Tier 2/3 support, and assist application developers with database design/access.
- Develop scripts (JCL, SQL) and leverage tools (AIOps, IaC) for automated tasks and maintenance.
- Mainframe (z/OS) experience .
