Role : Customer Service Representative / Truck Dispatcher

Location : New Jersey

Duration : 12+Months

New Jersey based Granite Stone wholesaler / Distributor in the Mid-Atlantic States is seeking a motivated and experienced hands-on Customer Service Representative/ Trucks Dispatcher.

As a customer service representative, you will be the first line of communication for our customers. customer orders are taken via e-mail, telephone and in person.

Daily tasks include the following:

  • Support customers via e-mail, phone and walk-in
  • Create ticket order for dispatch/pickup/deliveries
  • Process customer payments
  • Accurately and timely input all load information into the spreadsheet/software application
  • Maintain and update product inventory
  • Collect and maintain new/current customer information in CRM
  • Assist with ordering supplies
  • Assist with providing quotes to customers with large projects
  • Resolve any customer complaint to ensure we exceed customers expectation
  • Follow up with customers inquiring about quotes/projects
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, operations personnel and leadership
  • Other office duties as assigned

Dispatch tasks will include the following:

  • Dispatch inhouse drivers to NY/NJ/PA routes based on customer demands, availability, and routing
  • Manage and monitor daily loadout and delivery of outsourced carriers/trucks as well as customer pickup truck/trailers
  • Schedule dispatches with third party trucking companies
  • Monitor and communicate with drivers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Manage driver schedules, adhering to DOT regulations and delivery location hours
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle conditions and violations
  • Resolve any issues or delays that arise during the course of a delivery, such as: accidents, weather, or traffic
  • Ensure carriers are complying with contractual terms

Training will be provided.

Familiarity with dispatch process and NJ, NY & PA Routes / maps and GPS tracking systems will be a plus.

Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel and Word are required.

Must be a team player. This is a fast-paced environment and you must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

This is a full-time, hourly position. The schedule is Monday Friday, 6am-2pm.
