Position Overview:
We re looking for a passionate and dedicated 7th Grade Science Teacher to join our dynamic middle school team in Trenton, NJ! You will inspire curiosity , foster critical thinking , and bring science to life through hands-on activities, labs, and inquiry-based learning. This role is key in helping students develop a lifelong love of science!
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with NJSLS for Science.
Teach core science topics: life science, earth & space science, and physical science.
Incorporate labs, experiments, and technology into instruction.
Promote collaboration, discussion, and scientific thinking in the classroom.
Assess student understanding through a variety of tools and methods.
Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians about student progress.
Participate in school meetings, professional development, and events.
Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams.
Uphold school policies and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor /Associates degree in Science Education or related field.
Valid NJ Teaching Certificate (Middle School Science or Teacher of Science).
Strong knowledge of science content and pedagogy.
Effective classroom management and instructional skills.
Ability to build rapport with middle school students.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM 3:30 PM (typical school hours)
