Job Title: Materials Manager
Job Type: W2 - Contract (4 Months)
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Onsite M-F 8 - 4 OR 9 - 5 (5 days week)
Pay Rate: $ 50 - 55 / hour
Position Overview:
The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to managing the COV19 test equipment supply chain. This includes AVL (Approved Vendor List) management for commodities, supplier selection and qualification, price negotiation, and coordination with equipment suppliers for onsite installation and ongoing support.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment
- 7+ years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain management
- Global supply chain experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of basic supply agreement construction and key contracting provisions/requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of the semiconductor industry, processes, technologies, and key suppliers
- Master s degree
- Familiarity with world-class sourcing methods and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to coordinate across global teams
- Extensive negotiation experience with global suppliers and proven track record in cost reduction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Innovative approach to strategic sourcing, vendor relations, quality assurance, and measurement systems
- Strong analytical skills (e.g., cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
- Knowledge of Agile (highly desirable)
- Proficiency in:
- MS Excel - Development Tools (No. 1)
- SQL - Miscellaneous Database Administration (No. 1)
