Position Overview

Autodesk's Platform team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our organization that comprises of cloud services and web client components. You will be instrumental in driving key parts of the implementation of the cloud data platform of Autodesk. You'll have the opportunity to work on applications that directly impact millions of users of Autodesk products.

You will be part of an agile engineering team of highly motivated software engineers building world-class cloud software applications and services. We are a global organization and collaborate with our local and remote colleagues from multiple disciplines like business, engineering, operations, support.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all aspects of service development including front-end, back-end, DevOps, and quality
  • Assist in the operation of the service, e.g. monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging, and troubleshooting, including participating in an on-call rotation
  • Work closely with senior engineers, architects, product owners to understand requirements and translate them into elegant implementations
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the scalability, reliability, usability, and security of the system

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
  • 0 - 2 years of software engineering experience
  • Strong CS Fundamental with experience with at least one of these programming languages (Java, Python, C#, etc)
  • Familiar understanding of web services, including REST
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns and understanding of design paradigms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willing to continuously learn new technologies and driven to adopt best practices
  • Experience with AWS stack
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $85,000 and $137,500. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
