Our client is seeking a talented Systems Administrator to join their growing team.

About the Role:

In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Hitting the ground running to manage a hybrid Linux (Debian, Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows server environment.
  • Leading the migration of Windows servers to a standardized environment, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Utilizing your strong VMware skills to manage our existing on-premises environment of approximately 120 servers.
  • Taking initiative in evaluating a cloud migration to AWS or Azure to potentially replace or supplement our on-premises VMware environment.
  • Administering directory services, with experience in LDAP and a willingness to learn Active Directory (AD).
  • Managing email administration, working within the current Google Workspace environment.
  • Ensuring data security by maintaining our Druva Cloud backups.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any system issues that arise.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Proven experience migrating Windows servers to a standardized environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with directory services, including LDAP and ideally some experience with Active Directory.
  • Experience managing email administration in a cloud environment like Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Druva Cloud backup solutions or similar offerings.
  • A strong understanding of network concepts and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of NetApp storage solutions.
