Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP GTS and GTP modules to support international logistics, customs compliance, and trade processes.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for SAP GTS/GTP enhancements and integrations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and optimize end-to-end global trade processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Configure SAP GTS modules, including Compliance Management, Customs Management, Risk Management, Electronic Compliance Reporting, and Preference Processing.
  • Configure and support SAP GTP functionalities, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Maintain and update master data related to trade, such as product classifications (HTS, ECCN), business partners, trade agreements, and embargoes.
  • Monitor and manage interface transactions between SAP ECC/S4HANA and GTS/GTP, resolving errors and ensuring data integrity.
  • Support trade compliance activities, such as denied party screening, license determination, customs declarations, and export/import documentation.
  • Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide training to business users and super users.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing timely support and guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving global trade regulations, SAP releases, and industry best practices, recommending system/process improvements as needed.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and implementation activities for new rollouts, upgrades, and enhancements in the SAP GTS/GTP landscape.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP GTS implementation, support, and enhancement; exposure to SAP GTP is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of global trade processes, compliance, customs regulations, and international logistics.
  • Proficiency in configuring SAP GTS core modules (Compliance, Customs, Risk, Preference Processing, etc.).
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S4HANA integration with GTS and familiarity with middleware solutions.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations (e.g., U.S. Export Administration Regulations, EU Dual-Use Regulation, etc.)
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP GTS Compliance Management, including Sanctioned Party List Screening and Embargo checks.
  • Experience with SAP GTS Customs Management, including import/export declarations, bonded warehouse, and customs integration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of cloud-based trade platforms and integration approaches.

  • Configure legal control checks, license management, and preference agreements within SAP GTS.
  • Maintain and update embargo lists, sanctioned party lists, and classification data to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support business process owners in achieving trade compliance and efficiency objectives through system enhancements.
  • Assist with data migrations, system upgrades, and testing for ongoing SAP GTS/GTP improvements.
