Job Title: Cloud Database Administrator
Duration: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: 100% Remote
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize cloud-based database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of databases supporting mission-critical applications in a fully remote setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in managing database migrations from on-premises to cloud or between cloud platforms.
- Experience in design, deploy, manage, and maintain cloud-based databases
- 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in cloud environments
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Hands-on experience with databases such as:
- Relational: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle
- NoSQL: DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar
- Experience with database monitoring, tuning, and optimization
- Knowledge of backup, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
