Job Title: Digital Communications Developer IV

Location: Remote

Duration: 9+ Months Contract

About department:

Our department is CRM Operations. We operationalize all of Client s direct marketing via email, direct mail, mobile channels like SMS, Push Notifications and Notification Center. We work with a few different 3rd party vendors who provide SaaS platforms which develop and deploy our communications for these different channels on for both Marketing and Transactional communications.

Project Description:

This position will focus more on the Transactional side of our communications and focus mainly on REST protocols and JSON data formats to enable our communications. While other protocols and formats are supported such as SOAP and XML.

Position Summary/Job Description:

This role is responsible for efficient and effective operations of the campaign capability. This role is involved in the following:

1) Multi-channel (SMS, push notifications, email) build and deployment in Webex Connect and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

2) data queries against a complex data environment within the enterprise data platform and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform.

3) Leveraging and utilization of coding languages and supporting methodologies such as HTML CSS, XML and JSON, SOAP and REST protocols, VBScript, JavaScript, PHP.

This role provides troubleshooting and problem solving to complex email/mobile build and deployment, data and processes. The role also collaborates with the Legal, Privacy and Security teams to ensure that Client s is in compliance with regulatory requirements and is leveraging industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
1
) Responsible for highly complex technical design on direct marketing campaigns. The campaigns require a more advance level of Web and Vendor Technical Platform usage and an understanding of the data attributes associated with personalization. The amount of segmentation can be multi-faceted using many segmentation attributes and require the creation of complicated email templates and/or the usage of website landing pages.
2) Involved in the deployment of communications ensuring the consistency of approach, methods and processes amongst supported channels.
3) Technically design, build and deploy communications in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Webex CPaaS (Webex Connect) platform.
4) Partner with enterprise-wide internal stakeholders to trouble-shoot, prioritize, and problem solve on issues related to emails, sms, push messages, the technical platform or data attributes associated with these channels.
5) Troubleshooting, building and providing strategic recommendations and advise on the process flow for triggered communications (including all Dotcom communications like order confirmation, password reset, etc.) for the enterprise.
6) Develops innovative technical strategies and enhances capabilities for email deployment to maximize speed and efficiencies or is consulted as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the development of technical strategies.
7) Identifies process improvement efforts ranging from strategic to tactical items.
8) Focuses on the identification and delivery of solutions to complex business problem leveraging prior technical tool and process expertise.
9) Partner with 3rd party vendors to deliver communications.

How much time will the resource spend pair programming?

More to start, but eventually settling into a routine of most of the development being done individually and then QAd by another resource.
