Position Overview

One of our direct client is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in ServiceNow development, integrations, and best practices, and will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules based on business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, and Script Includes.
  • Implement and support ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and other custom applications as required.
  • Perform integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration methods.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform issues, defects, and performance concerns.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Follow ServiceNow development best practices, including documentation, version control, and testing standards.
  • Support ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer, including custom application development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow scripting, and configuration.
  • Experience developing workflows, Flow Designer solutions, and automation.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP and third-party tools.
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow data model, CMDB, and platform architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, or CIS preferred).
  • Experience working in a government or large enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow ITSM modules.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
