KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in executing sourcing strategies for IT and software categories under the guidance of the Senior Commodity Manager.
- Participate in contract reviews, focusing on commercial terms, and collaborate with legal and senior staff on redlines.
- Support supplier RFx processes, pricing negotiations, and commercial evaluations under the direction of senior team members.
- Support supplier relationship management, resolving day-to-day issues such as service levels, and payment discrepancies.
- Monitor and report on market trends, pricing movements, and supplier performance to inform sourcing decisions.
- Track savings and vendor performance using NCR Atleos tools such as Quick Base; maintain accurate vendor planning documentation.
- Ensure accurate PO creation, vendor setup, and invoice issue resolution in collaboration with the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) team.
- Ensure compliance with NCR Atleos' sourcing and contracts policies, supporting governance and risk mitigation efforts.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (IT, finance, legal) to translate technical needs into procurement actions.
TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
- Exposure to IT Procurement or Technology Environments:
Familiar with IT/software categories through internships, academic exposure, or assistant roles. Understands basic concepts like software licensing, SaaS vs. perpetual models, and cost drivers such as user-based pricing and support fees. - Analytical & Commercial Aptitude:
Able to compare supplier pricing and identify cost components (e.g., licensing tiers, implementation, renewals). Demonstrates interest in learning to interpret contract language around renewals, terminations, and entitlements. - Stakeholder & Vendor Communication:
Comfortable interacting with technical teams and vendors. Coordinates follow-ups, gathers information, and escalates issues professionally. - Detail Orientation & Tool Familiarity:
Strong documentation habits; tracks renewals, PO/invoice status, and vendor correspondence. Exposure to procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, iSupplier) is a plus. - Coachability & Curiosity:
Eager to learn software procurement best practices and how procurement drives value in IT environments. Receptive to feedback and mentorship. - Positive Energy & Team Fit:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field.
- Up to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
- Exposure to IT and software procurement concepts such as licensing, SaaS, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems (Oracle, SAP, Coupa, etc.).
- Exposure to contract review, supplier onboarding, and PO/invoice workflows.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Curiosity to learn software procurement intricacies and commitment to team collaboration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting IT/software sourcing or vendor management.
- Basic understanding of software licensing and cloud-based service agreements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and procurement tools
- Exposure to pricing analysis, vendor negotiations, or software support renewals.
- Prior work with stakeholders from IT or engineering.
- Ability to work across time zones and support global supplier relationships.
