Senior IT Project/Program Manager (IoT Platform Migration)

6 Month Contract

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, hybrid (2-3 days onsite)

Hybrid in Needham, MA

Overview:

Our client, a manager overseeing an expanded portfolio, is facing bandwidth challenges and requires a Senior IT Project/Program Manager to lead the application aspects of an ongoing IoT Platform Migration project (AWS-related). The role involves working with VP to ensure applications are appropriately maintained during migration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adopt and manage an existing project plan for the IoT Platform Migration.
• Oversee the application development and DevOps components of the project.
• Coordinate with internal teams and AWS stakeholders.
• Utilize tools like Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Ensure timely delivery within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior IT Project/Program Manager (not a lead role).
• Expertise in AWS and application development/DevOps.
• Experience with iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency in Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Local/regional candidates strongly preferred due to budget constraints (no expense reimbursement for travel)

Additional Notes:

• The project is already in progress, so the candidate must be able to hit the ground running.
• The client prioritizes local/regional candidates but may consider remote or traveling candidates if no local options are found, pending budget approval.
• The manager is looking for a true project management expert with a focus on application development and AWS.
