Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Engineer to join a specialized AI/ML project team consisting of a Data Scientist and a Machine Learning Engineer. The ideal candidate will build and optimize scalable data pipelines, deploy ML solutions, and support cloud-based infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI. This role is hands-on and requires strong Python programming and DevOps experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for machine learning workloads.

  • Partner with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to operationalize ML and LLM models.

  • Implement and maintain cloud solutions in Google Cloud Platform (preferred) or AWS/Azure.

  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for automation and deployments.

  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (GKE/EKS).

  • Monitor data quality, security, and infrastructure performance.

  • Build and expose REST APIs to integrate ML models with business apps.

  • Utilize Vertex AI Pipelines and Qflow for ML orchestration.

  • Contribute to production-grade code with strong engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering / ML Engineering.

  • Strong Python development experience.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

  • Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, GCS, IAM).

  • Experience with Vertex AI or equivalent ML platform.

  • Knowledge of API development using FastAPI/Flask.

  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Experience with LLM pipelines or AI orchestration.

  • Google Cloud Platform Certification (Data Engineer/Cloud Architect).

  • Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code.
