Position: Power Apps Developer

DK Consulting Overview: Founded in May 2003, DK Consulting, LLC, a woman-owned small business, was formed to provide management and technology solutions based on industry best practices. DK Consulting, LLC works with multiple State, Federal, and Commercial customers, and our services range from providing customers with that one ‘critical resource’ to assuming responsibility for an entire IT project.

The client is seeking a Power Apps Developer with 12+ years of overall IT experience, including strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and .NET technologies. The selected candidate will support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications that support SHA’s business operations, workflows, and data modernization initiatives.

Client: Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA)

Work Location: 707 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore Maryland. Three days onsite, two days remote with the first two weeks being 100% onsite

Interview Mode: In person

Responsibilities

·         Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven apps) to support SHA business processes

·         Develop and customize Power Automate workflows to streamline approvals, notifications, and data integrations

·         Create and manage Power BI reports and dashboards for operational and executive-level insights

·         Integrate Power Platform solutions with .NET-based applications, REST APIs, and third-party systems

·         Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, and Web APIs

·         Work with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and other relational data sources

·         Gather and analyze business requirements; translate them into technical solutions

·         Provide production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

·         Ensure applications comply with State of Maryland security, accessibility, and governance standards

·         Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge transfer materials

·         Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams

·         Participate in in-person meetings, design sessions, and stakeholder reviews at SHA facilities

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

·         12+ years of overall IT experience

·         6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)

·         Strong experience with .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Web APIs)

·         Experience integrating Power Platform with custom .NET applications

·         Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server

·         Experience working in enterprise or government environments

·         Solid understanding of application security, role-based access, and data governance

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to work onsite with state stakeholders
