Here, you'll do more than join something - you'll add something. Apple is seeking a Network Services Software Engineer to join our Retail and Enterprise Network Development team. This role involves building and maintaining complex modeling and orchestration solutions leveraging infrastructure as code methodologies in the deployment and day-to-day operations of the network services in Apple's retail stores and offices globally.
Description The Retail and Enterprise Network Development Team is responsible for software solutions that help our network operators deploy infrastructure and monitor services in Apple retail stores, offices, labs, and factories. Responsibilities of this role include building, scaling and supporting our modeling and orchestration solutions used to manage those network environments. You will be required to work with key stakeholders and engage partners about network management and automation strategies. The Network Services Software Engineer will be expected to grow into a thought leader-steering automation strategies to create broader organizational efficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code platforms (e.g. Ansible, Terraform) including templating, data modeling, and automation orchestration
- Python application development or a similar object oriented language
- Applied knowledge of network fundamentals and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, TLS, gRPC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g. Docker, K8s), and orchestrating infrastructure both physical and cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud Platform), with emphasis on deploying and maintaining distributed systems
- Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code platforms (e.g. Ansible, Terraform) including templating, data modeling, and automation orchestration
- 2+ years experience in configuration and management of Cisco, Aruba and/or Arista network equipment
