KC-46 Service Engineer - Senior Level

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a KC-46 Service Engineer - Senior Level, to join the KC-46 Fleet Engineering Team based in Everett, WA and is for an international assignment in Miho AB, Japan.
This is a Long-Term Assignment to Japan for a minimum of 2 years. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Ability to meet international assignment health requirements is required. If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.
The KC-46 Service Engineering Team works closely with our military aircraft customers to resolve fleet issues in coordination with other Boeing Engineering Teams. This position will support the day-to-day operations of the Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) alongside the team of Boeing Field Service Representatives (FSRs) at Miho AB.
The KC-46 Tanker Program is the premier Air-to-Air Refueling platform for the United States Air Force (USAF) and international partners. This franchise program is anticipated to continue a growth trajectory for the foreseeable future.
The successful candidate will have aircraft engineering experience, familiarity with aircraft systems, experience reviewing technical documentation, and experience troubleshooting aircraft problems. The Candidate will be the first point of contact to answer customer questions related to maintenance, service actions, and flight squawks. The candidate will be providing engineering dispositions for the customer and will be responsible for reaching back to other Boeing Engineering teams as needed to address customer questions. The candidate will have solid communication, integration, problem solving, and practice engineering judgment.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Miho AB, Japan facility.
Position Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Position Responsibilities:
- Review commercial and supplier service information and provide recommended service actions
- Review and provide comments for Service literature incorporation
- Technical lead who will provide direction/assistance to team members in the development, coordination and integration of service actions in all ATA related systems for the JASDF.
- Experience in writing technical documents that provide inspection, rework, access, testing and other instructions to operators to address production/supplier quality escapes
- Be familiar and utilize Simplified English when developing and reviewing service actions
- Mentor and train less experienced team members
- Understand the BGS process as it pertains to safety impacts to ATC, STC and MTC configurations of the 767-2C/KC-46
- The successful candidate enjoys working collaboratively with others, has a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement, and is successful working in a multi-contract/multi-program environment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience working in or with an International Engineering Team
- Experience working in, or on, a customer's location
- Experience with Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft Maintenance practices
- 3+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
- 3+ years of experience working with technical documentation, and/or technical information delivery
- Capable of working a variable shift, including weekends and overtime, when needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
- Previous aerospace industry experience
- Experience in MATRIX and VECTOR tools
- Experience supporting fleet in-service aircraft
- Experience with the KC-46 or KC-767
- Experience with Fuel Systems
- Experience with Aircraft Maintenance Troubleshooting
Typical Education/ Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
