Job Description:



We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Storage Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This role is critical in ensuring the successful migration and ongoing management of enterprise storage systems, with a particular focus on NetApp, VAST, CIFS platforms, and Dell storage technologies within a VMware and Windows environment.





Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration of storage mapped to DFS namespaces from NetApp to VAST platforms.
  • Administer and manage legacy NetApp, VAST, and CIFS platforms for optimal availability and performance.
  • Operate and maintain Dell PowerVault and PowerStore arrays as part of a virtualized infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize storage capacity, performance, and availability across all platforms.
  • Implement and manage data protection and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex storage-related issues to minimize downtime and impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage systems with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide knowledge sharing/training for internal IT teams.
  • Administer and support VMware and Windows Server environments in tandem with storage responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with:

    • NetApp, VAST, CIFS platforms

    • Dell PowerVault and PowerStore storage systems

    • VMware and Windows operating systems

  • Strong understanding of storage protocols and technologies (e.g., NFS, iSCSI, SMB/CIFS).

  • Hands-on experience with data protection, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.

  • Experience with:

    • DELL APEX AIOps

    • Dell OpenManage Enterprise

    • VMware Aria Suite

  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across technical teams.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as:

    • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)

    • VMware VCP

    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server

  • Exposure to cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools, including:

    • PowerShell

    • robocopy

    • securecopy
