Job Title: Cypress QA Automation Engineer (Cypress, Typescript, API Testing)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration- 12+ Month (Long Term)

Need someone with Typescript & Cypress testing experience.

Role Overview: We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Cypress (TypeScript/JavaScript), and API testing to join our agile squad. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the functional QA assigned to your project, contributing to the development of automation scripts for both API and functional tests. Your work will be integral to our commitment to delivering high-quality software to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the functional QA team to understand project requirements, test cases, and overall testing strategy.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress (TypeScript/JavaScript) for functional testing of web applications.
  • Write and execute API test scripts to validate API endpoints, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and feedback.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to resolution, working closely with developers and other team members.
  • Participate in squad meetings, providing insights into testing progress, challenges, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our test automation framework and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in QA automation, sharing knowledge with the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on Cypress (TypeScript/JavaScript).
  • Proven experience with PactumJS for API testing, including writing and executing automated API test scripts.
  • Solid understanding of API testing principles, including RESTful services, HTTP methods, and status codes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a squad-based team environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
