Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced IBM Sterling OMS Architect/Senior Developer with deep expertise in architecting multi-tenant OMS platforms, implementing complex enterprise OMS solutions, and enhancing user experiences for store and call center operations.
This role requires strong technical leadership, architectural skills, backend and frontend development experience, and hands-on work across Sterling OMS modules including DOM, SOM, COM, SC, Inventory Visibility, and SIP.
Essential Skills & Experience:
10+ years of overall experience with enterprise eCommerce/OMS systems.
5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting IBM Sterling Order Management (OMS) solutions.
Strong experience architecting multi-tenant platforms and working across multiple OMS implementations.
Deep knowledge of IBM Sterling OMS (OMoC 25.x) and IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising (SIP), including:
DOM (Distributed Order Management)
IV (Inventory Visibility)
SC (Supply Chain)
COM (Common Order Management)
SOM (Store Order Management)
Sourcing & Scheduling
Payment, Pricing, Inventory & Fulfillment modules
Strong development background in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices.
Front-end development experience using AngularJS / Angular 11+ / DOJO.
Hands-on integration experience using REST, SOAP, Batch, SFTP, and API Gateways.
Strong experience customizing IBM Sterling modules (DOM, Pricing, Payment, Inventory, Call Center, Store).
Excellent SQL/DB query writing skills.
Experience working in a fashion multi-brand or retail environment (preferred).
Experience with IBM Cloud / Commerce hosted solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
<>Architecture & Development</>Architect, design, and implement IBM Sterling OMS solutions across multi-tenant enterprise environments.
Enhance user experiences for Store & Call Center applications using modern front-end technologies.
Customize and optimize Sterling DOM, COM, SOM, Inventory, Payment, and Call Center modules.
Develop microservices (Spring Boot) and Angular-based UI components.
Implement and optimize inventory sync, distribution groups, ATP rules, and RTAM processes.
Design and support integrations between OMS and:
WMS
ERP
CRM
eCommerce platforms
SIP modules
Manage REST/SOAP API integrations, SFTP transfers, and batch processes.
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and lead root-cause analysis.
Optimize system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Participate in release planning, deployments, and post-release support.
Ensure technical design documentation, specifications, and architectural deliverables.
Mentor junior developers and guide technical teams.
Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and vendors.
Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience with IBM NextGen Store, Call Center modernization, and emerging IBM Supply Chain products.
Hands-on building screens, widgets, overlays, locales, and language packs for IBM Sterling Store/Call Center UI.
Experience with multi-brand retail environments.
