QA Engineer

Job Title: Enterprise M365 QA Tester
Job Description
This role will involve close collaboration with the software packaging and client engineering teams to validate software packages and ensure seamless deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience refining JIRA stories, execute test plans, and contributing to quality assurance e?orts in a dynamic, enterprise-scale environment. M365 Program team is responsible for overseeing the testing, integration, and change management of the Microsoft 365 suite of tools across the enterprise. As the program continues to scale, the team is expanding and seeking a skilled Test Engineer / QA Analyst to support ongoing initiatives.
Responsibilities
Create and optimize test processes including defect management and reporting.

• Contribute to building quality into the System Design Lifecycle (SDLC) using best practices and tools.
• Create a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.).
• Create and optimize test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools.
• Lead test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams.
• Ensure alignment and sign o? for test cases from business and other stakeholders.
• Optimize test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing.
• Manage test execution and assist with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance.
• Contribute to test data management approach, processes and tools.
• Condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.
• Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary.
• Create and manage traceability. Trace tests forwards/backwards through the design lifecycle and back to requirements.
• Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assist with fulfilment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of design and execute manual test plans for Microsoft 365 packages across Windows Workstation, AppVol, and MacOS, ensuring functionality, compatibility, and stability.
• Develop and maintain manual test cases and scenarios aligned with business requirements and technical specifications across M365 applications.
• Perform defect tracking and root cause analysis, collaborating with engineering and packaging teams to ensure timely resolution and quality assurance.
• Manage test documentation and reporting, including test results, issue logs, and daily status updates to stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
