Description

SAIC is looking for a Logistics Engineer to perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major PMW-160 systems, specifically Automated Digital Network System (ADNS). This position is mostly remote and must be local to San Diego, CA.



JOB DUTIES:
  • Ensures program data is distributed to other Logistics team members as needed for Logistics product development, including CDMD-OA, ILS Checklists, Provisioning, ILS Packages, Technical Documentation, PMS, DMSMS, and PSD.
  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
  • May also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
  • Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
  • Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans.
  • Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree and six (6) years or more of related experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start
  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance after start
  • Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of all areas of Logistics and Logistics product deliverables, including Provisioning, ILS Certifications, PMS, Technical Documentation, ILS Packages, CDMD-OA, PSD, DMSMS, and ECR process.
  • Candidates must have technical, engineering, or logistics background involving hardware or software systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of all ILS areas and products is required.

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with hardware drawing analysis, BOM analysis, and inputs to ECRs desired
  • Understanding of hardware and software obsolescence desired.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
