Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Top Secret Security Administrator to serve as a subject-matter expert supporting legacy mainframe systems and mainframe transformation initiatives. This role involves senior-level systems administration, security management, and regulatory compliance within a z/OS mainframe environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as SME for Top Secret Security (TSS) administration to ensure data security and regulatory compliance
Perform senior-level z/OS systems administration, including configuration, break/fix support, and user account management
Manage certificate renewals, TLS/SSL, RSA keys, SFTP, and FTPS configurations
Monitor system and security performance; conduct root cause analysis
Support mainframe operations within the State’s Consolidated Data Center Services (DCS)
Collaborate with Network, Customer Support, and Application Development teams
Provide support for ISV products such as BlueZone
Assist with Mainframe Production Control, batch jobs, and job scheduling
Support legacy systems and Mainframe Transformation initiatives
Experience with Informatica Power Exchange (CDC using IMS/VSAM) is a plus
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years hands-on experience with Top Secret Security (TSS)
5+ years hands-on experience with z/OS Administration
5+ years experience with JES2, OMVS (z/OS Unix), and SMS
3+ years experience with TLS/SSL, certificates, RSA keys, SFTP/FTPS
Preferred Skills
Experience with REXX
Performance monitoring and initial performance issue analysis
Informatica Power Exchange Administration
Working Knowledge (Preferred)
z/OS Operations & Networking (VTAM, TCP/IP)
