Job Title: Collibra Data Quality Architect & Application Development Consultant
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Experience Level: 14+ Years
Employment Type: Contract (C2C)

About the Team
You will be part of the Data Governance Team, responsible for ensuring enterprise data accuracy, integrity, and compliance. The role focuses on the installation, configuration, and ongoing administration of the Collibra Data Quality (DQ) platform, implementing data quality checks, validation rules, anomaly detection, and supporting solution development and platform integrations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collibra DQ Administration:
    Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain the Collibra Data Quality (DQ) platform and related components to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Data Quality Framework:
    Design and implement data quality checks, validation rules, and anomaly detection models to monitor and enhance data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Workflow Development:
    Develop and maintain Collibra workflows and automated remediation processes to support data governance and stewardship activities.
  • Integration & Automation:
    Build integrations between Collibra DQ and enterprise systems (e.g., Snowflake, RDBMS, REST APIs, Java-based platforms) using API and event-driven architecture.
    Implement CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., GitHub) for Collibra DQ artifacts, workflows, and integrations.
  • Application Development:
    Develop Java-based applications and microservices that enhance Collibra functionality and extend its integration capabilities.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Business Teams to support platform operations.
    Communicate and coordinate platform upgrades, maintenance, and major releases.
  • User Enablement:
    Onboard new users, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing technical support to data stewards and governance teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Governance domains.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Quality (DQ) including configuration, administration, and rule design.
  • Proven track record of installing, administering, and customizing enterprise Data Quality platforms.
  • Strong experience in Collibra workflow design and implementation using Java and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency in Java development, API integration, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience integrating Collibra with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, RDBMS, REST/Java APIs).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub, and version control for DQ artifacts and integrations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC).
  • Understanding of data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging principles.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with event-driven or message-based architectures (Kafka, Service Bus, etc.).
