Supply Chain Lead

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Lead to oversee and drive strategic initiatives across the supply chain domain in the aerospace industry. This role involves managing complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality standards, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier development, delivery assurance, work transfer, and supplier quality, with proven leadership and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage supply chain projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Handle team operations including hiring, performance reviews, and timecard approvals.
Monitor budgets, forecast revenue, and respond to competitive bids.
Lead meetings and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Track supplier commitments, escalate risks, and support recovery plans.
Visit supplier sites and provide daily updates on part status and progress.
Assess suppliers with cross-functional teams and drive performance improvements using Lean/Six Sigma.
Maintain Supplier Improvement Plans and monitor key metrics.
Lead quality initiatives including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Update quality documentation and train suppliers on quality tools.
Manage work transfers between suppliers with minimal disruption.
Coordinate approvals across engineering, legal, quality, and planning.
Prepare RFQs, forms, and checklists; conduct due diligence.
Communicate with suppliers from RFQ to award and support drawing reviews.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
5-8 years of experience in supply chain operations, project management, or supplier development in aerospace industry.
Proven 3-5 years of supervisory experience with direct reports, including performance management and team development.
Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with RFQ processes, supplier assessments, and technical documentation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings or willingness to learn.
Proficiency in project tracking tools, MS 365, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Willingness to travel for supplier site visits and project coordination.
