job summary:

We're looking for a part-time, high-level Tier 2/3 Network Technician for a 6 month remote contract (approximately 20 hours/week). The role focuses on advanced Microsoft 365 support-including PowerShell, Azure, and Intune-along with basic troubleshooting and configuration of Fortinet firewalls and access points. This is a great opportunity for a self-driven IT professional comfortable working independently and potentially alongside other part-time commitments.

responsibilities:


  • Provide advanced Tier 2/3 support for Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Use PowerShell for user and system administration tasks
  • Support Azure AD and Intune for identity, access, and device management
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic configuration of Fortinet firewalls and wireless access points (e.g., port settings, access issues)
  • Handle general system maintenance, updates, and technical support tickets
  • Document technical resolutions and contribute to process improvements


qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in Tier 2/3 IT support roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including PowerShell, Azure AD, and Intune
  • Familiarity with Fortinet firewall and access point troubleshooting and configuration
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to document technical processes effectively
