Job Details

Salesforce QA Specialist needed for a contract role remote from EST or CST

This is a 6 month contract with possibility of extension

This is not open for 3rd party candidates - direct W2 only

Must have automation and Salesforce testing expertise

The Salesforce QA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our Salesforce platform. This role involves developing test plans, executing tests, and working closely with developers and business analysts to identify and resolve defects.

Responsibilities

  • Design test processes and procedures used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing.
  • In depth functional testing Must be able to evaluate functional stability to ensure business requirements are being met and are fit-for-purpose through end to end functional and automation testing.
  • Work closely with software developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
  • Clearly communicate any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Analysts and Developers on tasks related to the planning, testing and coordination of release activities.
  • Participate in user story creation process through dissection of high-level requirements during team review sessions.

Skills

  • Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud)
  • Understanding of Salesforce-specific automations (e.g., Flows, Triggers) and Apex Jobs
  • Experience in Salesforce query languages (SOQL and SOSL)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce development tools and ecosystems, including Lightning Web Components, Aura, CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
  • Related experience in the financial or insurance sector is a big plus
  • Version control systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Salesforce ecosystem and quality assurance experience
  • Proven experience with Salesforce platform
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
