Data and Tax Operations Consultant Contract Hybrid

Our client has a consulting opportunity for a Data and Tax Operational Consultant to help support a tax department for a contract position with mandatory overtime.

Candidate will be in the office 3 to 4 days a week and have excellent Excel skills

Support the Manager of Tax Operations in defining and executing various enhancements to streamline the manual workload and input on various functions, which include:

• Work individually and within small groups to obtain, update and validate client tax cost (Lot) information (e.g., term of basis, wash sales, covered indicator).
• Identify processes that can benefit from automation or specific changes to reduce manual dependencies related to tax cost input into clients' systems.
• Lead, manage, and document special projects as assigned by the Tax Operations manager.
• Learn source data specific to tax lot maintenance within client's systems and tables using tools specific to FIS tools and enterprise database (EDB).
• Work closely with the Department Manager and Senior Project Manager on various process improvement projects.

Experience level: Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience

Education: Bachelors required

Business related degree highly preferred

2-3 years financial industry experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills - dealing with various business and operational units

Excellent knowledge of Excel, familiar with the Microsoft suite of products Outlook, Word, & Access

Basic knowledge of PL/SQL, preferred
