Job Description:

Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Overview: The Data Engineering Department is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Project Manager to join the Program Management team. This role involves leading the successful delivery of complex and high-impact technical projects.

About the Team: The Data Engineering team manages the Data Warehouse, the single source of integrated global data. This data is crucial to make informed and strategic decisions. The team is currently modernizing by transitioning the On-Prem Global Data Warehouse to the Google Cloud Data Platform. This modernization effort aims to enable analytics and insights, create marketing campaigns, enhance customer experience, generate operational and regulatory reports, and provide data for digital products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage demand and coordinate changes through the system of delivery.
  • Coordinate dependencies with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define release content, priorities, and dependencies across functional teams.
  • Execute PI Planning for the Data Engineering team.
  • Prepare, participate in, and facilitate Agile/SAFe ceremonies.
  • Manage changes, risks, issues, mitigation planning, and contingency planning.
  • Define and maintain Data Engineering roadmaps.
  • Identify integration conflicts and issues with global and cross-portfolio initiatives, ensuring proper governance.
  • Serve as JIRA Administrator for the portfolio, maintaining user access and ensuring data integrity.
  • Generate JIRA and Confluence dashboards to support reporting and statuses.
  • Define, analyze, and provide key performance metrics to leadership.
  • Create articles to communicate statuses and celebrate successes.

Position Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills for a global environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage changing priorities, and adapt quickly to new demands.
  • Strong facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in all phases of the development life cycle and familiarity with agile practices.

Experience Required:
  • 7+ years of project management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with JIRA.
  • 3+ years of experience managing Data Warehouse projects (Cloud or On-Prem).

Experience Preferred:
  • Google Cloud Digital Leader certification.
  • Experience in financial institutions.
  • SAFe Agilist certification.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
