Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in the Austin, TX area. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain stable, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and manage monitoring solutions using tools like Datadog, Nagios, Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, and Splunk.
• Lead incident management efforts, perform thorough root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting, Ansible, and other relevant tools.
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and cloud best practices to daily operations.
• Adhere to ITSM and ITIL processes for service management.
• Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the cloud environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer, SRE, or similar role.
• Mandatory: Strong, demonstrable experience with Terraform, Shell scripting, and Ansible.
• Mandatory: Valid Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
• Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Nagios, Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk).
• Solid experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Deep understanding of SRE principles, cloud architecture best practices, ITSM, and ITIL frameworks.
• Experience in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment (partially remote, partially in Austin office).
