Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA (ONSITE 5 days/week) Supporting LA Unified School District
Duration: 9 months with potential extension

Overview:
The Network Engineer will provide IT infrastructure support for network upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and relocations, specializing in Cisco and other enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist or lead network upgrade activities at customer sites

• Apply software updates and configurations on Cisco routers and switches

• Perform QA tests and provide day-1 migration support for network infrastructure

• Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues

• Participate in site surveys and create documentation/reports as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Active CCNA certification

• Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, Switching, Routing, Wireless, and Enterprise Networking

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (driving required)

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work safely on ladders up to 8'

• Strong customer-facing and communication skills

• Background check clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cisco Routers (ISR & Catalyst), Switches (Catalyst 9K), Cisco IOS/IOS-XE

• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS, STP, VTP, DTP

• Skilled in Layer 2 & 3 network design, VLANs, 802.1q trunking, inter-VLAN routing

• Familiarity with monitoring tools: ScienceLogic, Labtech, SolarWinds

• Experience with Cisco IP telephony, wireless systems, and network hardware (Catalyst switches, Cisco/Palo Alto firewalls, Alcatel/HP switches, network printers)
