Biovia Discoverant System Administrator Remote - Nearshore/Offshore (Must Work in PST hours) Long-Term Rolling Contract
Job Description:
The BIOVIA Discoverant System Administrator is responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of the Discoverant platform. This role ensures system reliability, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing and quality operations. The administrator collaborates with cross-functional teams to support lifecycle management, user access, and continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate must have solid understanding of Discoverant PRIMR and Hiearchies
Responsibilities:
- All activities to be performed in multiple environments (Development, validation, UAT and production)
- Maintain connections to ERP (SAP/Oracle), MES, LIMS, and other data sources.
- Support CPV dashboards and analytics workflows.
- Assist with adding IAM user / access and Secret Key in Discoverant application.
- Responsible to Semi-annual server and system maintenance.
- Assist in Annual License updates.
- Assist in periodic activities such as SSL certificates updates, password rotations, back up and restore and disaster recovery
- Work closely with client IT team to maintain and update Citrix servers, security updates to systems such as Crowdstrike.
- Update Port settings for Discoverant and Pipeline Pilot applications
- Perform Active Directory group cleanup
- Responsible for level 3 support
- Assist with maintenance of instances in AWS
- Assist with upgrades of LINUX OS in DISCOVERANT database servers
- Ensure all documents are updated to ensure compliance with FDA regulations
- Assist with creation / updates of training materials.
- Provide train to end users as well as L2 support team.
- Assist with validation activities (create and execute IQ/OQ/PQ).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum 5 years' experience in computer science, Bio-Informatics or similar field
- 3+ years of experience administering BIOVIA Discoverant in a regulated environment
- Proficiency in Windows Server, SQL Server, scripting (PowerShell/Python), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- GxP experience is a must, Familiarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV/CSA methodologies
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with CPV, SPC, and manufacturing analytics
- Knowledge of integration with Starburst, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle EBS, and Kinaxis RapidResponse is a plus
- Ability to work PST hours
The salary range provided for this contract role represents our good faith estimate for this position. Within the range, individual offers will vary based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process (W2 or C2C).
