Job Details

As a Linux Administrator, you will be a part of an Agile team to build healthcare applications and implement new features while adhering to the best coding development standards.

Experience: - 8+ Years

Location: - Raleigh, NC (Remote)

Educational Qualifications: -

  • Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
  • Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage

Mandatory skills: Linux Administration, Python

Good to have skills: DevOps

Responsibilities: -

  • The most important experience to have is Linux system administration (RedHat or Redhat based distributions such as CentOS or Rocky Linux), the team spends a lot of time accessing Linux server over the CLI
  • Python is the preferred programming language, then Go.
  • High potential autonomous candidate that shows great resourcefulness
  • University or college education in computer science, engineering, technology or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) based system administration
  • Ability to adapt to working with a wide array of technologies and markup or programming languages
  • Ability to program with one or more high level languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript
  • Experience with networking, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical subjects to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative and resourcefulness
  • Proactive approach to spotting problems, areas of improvement, and bottlenecks
  • Approaches challenges as opportunities and sees every day as an opportunity to learn
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef and Ansible
  • Experience with DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Maven, GitHub
  • Conceptual knowledge of containerization services (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 3+ years working with Enterprise Imaging Systems
  • Any cloud computing platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, etc) hands on experience OR demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing technologies
  • Experience with monitoring technologies (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog)
  • Experience in a Leadership role without direct authority (matrix environment)

Strong understanding of medical imaging, radiology workflow, and integration using industry concepts:

o PACS

o DICOM

o HL7 and interface engines

o 3rd party vendor integrations

o Regulatory and security requirements

o HIPAA/HITECH
