Title: Drupal Web Administrator Austin, TX | 12+ Years | 80% Remote
Location: Austin, TX (80% Remote 1 day/week onsite at William B. Travis State Building)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Drupal Web Administrator to support the Clients web transformation initiative. This senior-level role will play a critical part in the migration, design, administration, and accessibility of Clients flagship website consisting of over 3,000+ pages.

The selected candidate will work closely with both the Communications Division and IT Web Services team, serving as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration and modernization of multiple interconnected websites.

  • Collaborate with content managers and technical teams to ensure seamless transition of content and functionality.

  • Administer and maintain Drupal CMS for ongoing content updates and site enhancements.

  • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and SEO best practices.

  • Assist web contributors and provide support for consistent content governance.

  • Monitor site performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize user experience.

  • Create and edit graphics, tables, and PDF content to ensure digital accessibility.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of web administration and design experience, including large-scale website management.

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Drupal CMS content creation, taxonomy, and navigation.

  • Proven portfolio in UI/UX design, showcasing complex web solutions.

  • Deep knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).

  • Understanding of SEO, responsive design, and mobile-first principles.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.


Work Environment:

  • 80% Remote work structure in-office presence required only 1 day per week in Austin, TX.
