En tant qu ingnieur Senior Snowflake, dans ce poste hybride, vous serez membre de l quipe de C3 Data Warehouse et vous vous concentrerez sur la cration d une plateforme de donnes de nouvelle gnration utilise pour l approvisionnement et le stockage de donnes partir de diffrents systmes technologiques de l entreprise en une plateforme de donnes centralise qui permet diverses solutions de reporting et d analyse pour les fonctions de risque technologique au sein d une grande institution financire. Dans le cadre de ce rle, vous serez principalement responsable de contribuer au dveloppement de notre entrept de donnes cloud l aide de Snowflake et d outils bass sur Python. Vous serez galement responsable de la conception et du dveloppement de leur entrept de donnes l aide des fonctionnalits de Snowflake telles que le partage de donnes, le voyage dans le temps, Snow Park, l optimisation de la charge de travail dans les cas d utilisation analytiques et d IA, ainsi que l ingestion et le stockage de donnes structures et non structures. Vous travaillerez galement l intgration de leur entrept de donnes Snowflake avec les plateformes internes existantes pour la qualit des donnes, le catalogage des donnes, la dcouverte des donnes, la journalisation des incidents et la gnration de mtriques. Vous travaillerez en troite collaboration avec les responsables de l entreposage de donnes, les analystes de donnes, les dveloppeurs ETL, les ingnieurs d infrastructure et les quipes d analyse de donnes pour faciliter la mise en uvre de cette plateforme de donnes et de ce cadre de pipeline de donnes.
Le candidat idal pour le poste d ingnieur senior Snowflake a :

• Exprience pratique avec Snowflake.
• Certification Snowflake SnowPro Core
• Exprience pratique avec Python.
• Exprience pratique avec Airflow (ou des outils similaires comme Dagster).
• Exprience avec l optimisation des performances des requtes SQL, des tches Spark et des procdures stockes.
• Une comprhension des modles de donnes E-R (conceptuels, logiques et physiques).

• Principales responsabilits :

• Concevoir, dvelopper et grer notre entrept de donnes Snowflake.
• Contribuer la mise en place des meilleures pratiques pour l utilisation optimale et efficace de Snowflake avec des outillages tels que Airflow, DBT et Spark.
• Aider tester et dployer notre cadre de pipeline de donnes l aide de cadres de test standard et d outils CI/CD.
• Surveiller les performances des requtes et des chargements de donnes et effectuer des rglages si ncessaire.
• Fournir une assistance et des conseils pendant les phases d assurance qualit et d apprentissage des utilisateurs afin de confirmer rapidement la validit des problmes potentiels et de dterminer la cause profonde et la meilleure rsolution des problmes vrifis.

Qualifications de base :

• Baccalaurat en informatique, gnie logiciel, technologie de l information ou dans un domaine connexe requis.
• 7+ ans d exprience dans le dveloppement de donnes et de solutions dans des environnements de donnes trs complexes avec de grands volumes de donnes.
• 7+ ans d exprience SQL / PLSQL avec la capacit d crire des requtes ad-hoc et complexes pour effectuer des analyses de donnes.
• 5+ ans d exprience dans le dveloppement de solutions de donnes sur Snowflake.
• 3+ ans d exprience dans les pipelines de donnes et les solutions d entreposage de donnes l aide de Python et de bibliothques telles que Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, etc.
• 3+ ans d exprience dans le dveloppement de solutions dans un environnement de donnes hybride (sur site et dans le cloud).

Qualifications supplmentaires :

• Autodidacte. Capacit avre grer plusieurs projets simultans avec un minimum de supervision. Peut grer une liste de priorits complexe en constante volution et rsoudre des conflits de priorits concurrentes.
• Solides comptences en rsolution de problmes. Capacit identifier o il faut se concentrer et clarifier les objectifs, les exigences et les priorits de l entreprise.
• Solides comptences analytiques, y compris une comprhension approfondie de la faon d interprter les exigences commerciales des clients et de les traduire en conceptions et solutions techniques.
• Solides comptences en communication verbale et crite. Capable de collaborer efficacement avec une varit de groupes informatiques et commerciaux, entre les rgions, les rles et capable d interagir efficacement avec tous les niveaux.

We are currently seeking a Senior Snowflake Engineer to join our team in Montreal, Quebec (CA-QC), Canada (CA).
SENIOR SNOWFLAKE ENGINEER
As a Senior Snowflake Engineer, in this hybrid position you will be a member of the C3 Data Warehouse team with a focus on building a next-gen data platform used for sourcing and storing data from different technology systems across the firm into a centralized data platform that empowers various reporting and analytics solutions for the Technology Risk functions within a large financial institution. In this role you will be primarily responsible for contributing to the development of our Cloud Data Warehouse utilizing Snowflake and Python-based tooling. You will also be responsible for the design and development of their data warehouse utilizing Snowflake capabilities such as data sharing, time travel, Snow Park, workload optimization across analytic and AI use-cases, and the ingestion and storage of structured and unstructured data. You will also work on the integration of their Snowflake data warehouse with existing internal platforms for data quality, data cataloging, data discovery, incident logging, and metric generation. You will be working closely with data warehousing leads, data analysts, ETL developers, infrastructure engineers, and data analytics teams to facilitate the implementation of this data platform and data pipeline framework.
The ideal Senior Snowflake Engineer candidate has:

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow (or similar tools like Dagster).
• Experience with performance tuning SQL queries, Spark job, and stored procedures.
• An understanding of E-R data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).

Key Responsibilities:

• To design, develop, and manage our Snowflake data warehouse.
• To contribute towards the establishment of best practices for the optimal and efficient usage of Snowflake with tooling like Airflow, DBT and Spark.
• To assist with the testing and deployment of our data pipeline framework utilizing standard testing frameworks and CI/CD tooling.
• To monitor the performance of queries and data loads and perform tuning as necessary.
• To provide assistance and guidance during the QA & UAT phases to quickly confirm the validity of potential issues and to determine the root cause and best resolution of verified issues.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required.
• 7+ years of experience in data development and solutions in highly complex data environments with large data volumes.
• 7+ years of SQL / PLSQL experience with the ability to write ad-hoc and complex queries to perform data analysis.
• 5+ years of experience with developing data solutions on Snowflake.
• 3+ years of data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, etc.
• 3+ years of experience developing solutions in a hybrid data environment (on-Prem and Cloud).

Additional Qualifications:

• Self-starter. Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Can manage a complex ever changing priority list and resolve conflicts to competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to identify where focus is needed and bring clarity to business objectives, requirements, and priorities.
• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business requirements and translating them into technical designs and solutions.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions, roles and able to interact effectively with all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect and Advanced Data Engineer
• Hands-on experience with DBT
• Understanding of advanced data warehouse concepts (Factless Fact Tables, Temporal \ Bi-Temporal models, etc.).
