Job Details

Title: Calypso Support Analyst (L2 / L3)

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Calypso Support Analyst to provide day-to-day support for Calypso trading systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and functional knowledge of Calypso and financial products, and be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining system stability, and ensuring smooth operations across front, middle, and back office processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1/L2/L3 support for Calypso platform across various modules (e.g., Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Settlements).
  • Monitor system performance, batch jobs, and message queues; proactively resolve issues.
  • Investigate and resolve user-reported problems, including trade booking issues, workflow disruptions, and integration errors.
  • Manage daily production support tasks including EOD processing, start-of-day checks, and trade feed monitoring.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and propose permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams, Calypso vendor, and internal development teams for issue resolution and system upgrades.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, knowledge base, and runbooks.
  • Participate in release management and testing activities for new Calypso versions or enhancements.
  • Coordinate with business users (traders, risk managers, operations) to understand requirements and provide functional support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in Calypso support, development, or implementation roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments (FX, IRD, Fixed Income, Equities, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Calypso modules: Trade Booking, Workflows, Messaging, Risk, Settlements, Accounting.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Unix shell, Python), and basic SQL for data analysis and issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of integration points such as Murex, MarkitWire, DTCC, or SWIFT is a plus.
  • Understanding of messaging protocols (FIX, MQ, JMS).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (as needed) to support global users.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Calypso Customization/Java API.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • ITIL certification or experience in structured support environments.
