Main Sail is seeking Data Analysts to support the PEO Carriers – Carrier Planning Activity (CPA). This position involves supporting lifecycle maintenance and modernization planning for CVN-class aircraft carriers by leveraging data analysis, cost modeling, and technical research to inform program decisions and resource allocation.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, manage and/or analyze maintenance, modernization,schedule, and/or cost (labor and materials) data for aircraft carrier from various Government databases.
- Support development, revisions and/or validation of various program office documentation such as, but not limited to the ACCMP manual; Expanded Ship's Work Breakdown Structure (ESWBS) manual; and Process Instructions;
- Support development and management of modernization data in the CMP and Baseline Availability Work Package (BAWPs) for execution of life-cycle maintenance requirements during aircraft carrier availabilities to include integration of assessments, maintenance requirements, inspections, certifications, modernization and services;
- Conduct end-of-availability reviews to validate completion of BAWP modernization items;
- Update M&SWP (or similar) and maintenance history databases using Availability Work Package (AWP) completion data, including financial and material history
- Develop, maintain and report metrics as required.
- Utilize Excel proficiency to create graphs and PowerPoint presentations for requested metrics and other relevant reports, ensuring clear and compelling visual representation of data.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel formulas to effectively manage and manipulate data, supporting accurate analysis and reporting requirements.
- Assist with data requests as needed
Required Experience:
- 5 years of professional experience in data analytics or operations research/analysis in support of programs related to maintenance and modernization of U.S. Navy ship or submarines
- Proficiency with MS Office 365
