Position: IT Service Desk Technician/Systems Admin

Location: Princeton NJ 08540

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire

MUST HAVES:
  • Authorized to work in the US | High School & 5-7+ Years of IT experience
  • Ample experience supporting VIP/C-Suite Level personnel
  • Extensive ServiceNow, Active Directory, SCCM, and Windows/Mac experience
  • Ability to pass Background Check/Drug Screen


Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 5:30 PM, some flex

Conversion Salary: $85,95K, potential flexibility based on experince

*This person will be the SOLE IT Point of Contact for this team* -- Ability to handle pressure, communicate clearly and address various IT issues are an absolute must.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Competency-based list of primary responsibilities the position is responsible for performing
  • Provide first and second level support for problems relating to personal computers, printer and other peripherals.
  • Install/maintain/enhance personal computers, peripherals and network server components.
  • Manage asset tracking system for all equipment. Maintain/enhance server base security, backups and virus protection.
  • Participate in desktop/network hardware and software upgrade planning and implementation.
  • Provide second level support to sys-admins staff members as required.
  • Interact with other IT department's staff, senior management and vendors to resolve network related issues/problems.
  • Some on-call required.
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements/Qualifications

Experience:
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong analytical ability to diagnose/repair computer/network problems.
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, MCSE or equivalent required.
  • Strong understanding of Ethernet switched environments, TCP/IP, DHCP, terminal emulation, client/server and internet concepts.
  • MAC experience a strong plus.
