Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to drive the strategic development and management of our technology infrastructure and systems. Based in San Antonio, Texas, this leadership role requires a forward-thinking individual who can align technological initiatives with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT strategy, cybersecurity, and specialized tools within the residential mortgage and legal services sectors.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute an IT strategy that supports the organization's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Lead the implementation and optimization of legal technology tools and case management systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage systems and platforms for residential mortgage loan document preparation, delivery, and storage, ensuring seamless integration with loan origination and eClosing software.
Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory standards in all technology workflows related to loan documentation.
Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive client data and ensure adherence to data privacy laws.
Direct the management of IT assets, including servers, cloud environments, networking systems, and workstations.
Coordinate vendor relationships with software providers and technology consultants to maximize system performance.
Supervise and mentor IT staff, fostering growth through training and performance evaluations.
Lead IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, software rollouts, and system integrations, ensuring timely completion.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and configurations to support organizational transparency and efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 10 years of progressive IT experience, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
Proven experience in a law firm, title company, mortgage lender, or other regulated environments.
Hands-on expertise with residential mortgage document platforms and workflow management systems.
Proficiency with software such as DocMagic, Encompass, or similar tools used in mortgage processes.
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Familiarity with integration tools, APIs, and data encryption protocols.
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across teams.
