Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Lead Materials Manager to support our OCONUS (Singapore) Ship Repair business. The role will manage the overview of supply chain and material planning activities. Participate in the development and review of monthly and quarterly strategic operations planning to align Supply Chain with overall business objectives and program demands. Monitor schedule, cost, and resource management performance against contract requirements and business goals. Work cross-functionally to identify risks and opportunities in cost control systems, performing variance analysis and contingency planning. Develop or improve policies and procedures related to procurement and subcontracting, ensuring compliance with Federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing, monitoring, receiving, inspecting, segregating, storing, issuing and disposing planned maintenance materials
  • Configuration validation of equipment, supply support, technical documentation, support equipment, maintenance requirements, and training.
  • Use Class wide Naval ILS procedures pertaining to identification of requirements, requisitioning receipt control, storage, inventory, accountability, distribution, and transportation as outlined in pertinent Navy, and other DoD directives.
  • Must be able to live and work in Singapore

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Must be able to live and work in Singapore
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of work experience or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) in a marine environment.
  • Able to work OCONUS
  • Experience in purchasing, monitoring, receiving, inspecting, segregating, storing, issuing and disposing planned maintenance materials.
  • Technical expertise in the following configuration and logistic support areas; Configuration validation of equipment, supply support, technical documentation, support equipment, maintenance requirements and training.
  • Knowledge of Class wide Naval ILS procedures pertaining to identification of requirements, requisitioning receipt control, storage, inventory, accountability, distribution, and transportation as outlined in pertinent Navy, and other DoD directives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ILS-specific and Navy Supply System applications including One-Touch, MILSTRIP requisitions, IHS (HayStack), Hazardous Material Information System (HMIS) and DLA (DRMO).
  • Experience and knowledge with duties and responsibilities of hazardous material custodian, hazardous material storage, use and disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Able to interpret policy and determines correct approach to resolving conflicts.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Able to obtain fork lift operator license.
  • Experience in Program/Performance Management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control
  • Experience in People Management/Leadership, including developing, coaching, and mentoring diverse teams
  • Experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Maritime, or Defense (DoD) Contracting with knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements
  • Ability to perform and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintain regulatory compliance
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to negotiate internally within project teams and externally with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ability to support organizational change and continuous improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $124080 - $210980

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
